The speeches normally take place at the end of the meal and before the wedding cake is cut.
The time for speeches can normally be a time of dread for most people and particularly the best man but with good practise and preparation it is normally possible to deliver a first class speech confidently.
It is important to remember that the speech is not the most important part of the day and providing you can give a speech including thanks to all concerned no one should mind.
